Raindrops keep falling...

The weather here has been rainy, rainy, rainy! Today we got much more rain than all of the days before--it did not seem to want to let up.

Yesterday was uneventful. I got up early and went to the student center to check my e-mail and request some sources from the FSU library for my paper. I then ventured back to Standa, a super-mini supermarket between the student center and my residence where I picked up some groceries--bread, meats, salad and lots of pasta... oh and a chocolate bar! When I got back to the house I cooked some tortellini for lunch and then went to my Italian class. After Italian I walked all over the city to try and find a bathing suit for the capri trip... but to no avail... I found lots of two pieces though. Hopefully I will have more luck another day.

Today my art history class went to Santa Maria Novella and we got to see Masaccio's Trinity one of the first known uses of linear perspective by an artist, and quite successfully. Since my battery is about to die I won't go into too much detail about how awesome it was to finally see this piece of work--but it was amazing! To give some perspective, all art history classes utilize this work to illustrate a point about how art changed or where art was headed... unless its an Asian art class. Another interesting thing is how different these works are then what I imagined! I'm gaining new perspectives as well!

Tomorrow my class is canceled so I will have the whole day to do productive things! If the weather gets better I will definitely have a lot more to post to my blog tomorrow. Ciao!

It sounds like beautiful weather, though I realize it is not very conducive to tourism.

Keep a stiff upper lip. Here comes the sun do do do do!
